Hi everyone, I’m excited to share my recent journey in expanding my smart home network! ![]()
I’ve been using Z-Wave and Zigbee devices for a while now, but as my home grew, so did the need for better coverage. Repeater issues were a constant frustration, and I was desperate for a more reliable solution.
I stumbled upon the idea of using Smarthubs to extend my network. Currently, I have one Smarthub V2, and I’m considering adding two more to cover my entire house. The idea is to connect them all via Ethernet on the same network. I’ve heard this setup can significantly boost wireless range, but I’m curious if anyone else has tried this recently or if there are any tips for optimal placement. ![]()
I know this topic was discussed a few years back, but I’m hopeful that with newer firmware and hardware improvements, this could be a game-changer for my setup. Plus, with Smarthubs being on sale for $50 each, it feels like a cost-effective solution compared to upgrading all my devices. ![]()
Has anyone successfully used multiple Smarthubs to extend their network? Any lessons learned or best practices to share? I’d love to hear your experiences and advice! ![]()
