Camera and Security Setup Speaking of devices, I’ve recently set up a Wyze Cam, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my security system. However, I’ve noticed that the camera tends to get quite hot. Is this normal, or could it be a sign of an underlying issue? I’d appreciate any tips or troubleshooting advice on this matter. 3. Scripting and Automation For those of you who enjoy a bit of hands-on customization, scripting can be a powerful tool. I’ve been working on creating a script to control my pool’s temperature using Homematic CCU. The goal is to have the system automatically adjust the heater based on the water temperature. While the basics are in place, I’m still figuring out the finer details, like ensuring the script runs smoothly without errors. If anyone has experience with similar scripts or can offer some guidance, I’d be grateful! 4. Alternatives and Upgrades Sometimes, it’s necessary to replace or upgrade devices. I recently had to replace my Aeon Labs Micro Dimmer due to some reliability issues. It’s been a bit of a hassle, but I’m curious to explore alternative dimmers that might offer better performance. Have any of you found a standout replacement for this device? 5. Networking and Connectivity Connectivity is the backbone of any smart home setup, and ensuring devices work seamlessly together can sometimes be a challenge. I’ve had some devices struggle to connect to my Wi-Fi, particularly on the 5 GHz band. After some research, I found that switching to the 2.4 GHz band and resetting my router helped stabilize the connections. If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, I’d recommend trying this approach! 6. Community and Support Lastly, I’d like to take a moment to appreciate the incredible community we have here.
