Exploring Smart Home Possibilities with Qubino and Shelly Devices

As someone who’s been diving into the world of smart home technology, I’ve found the journey both exciting and a bit challenging. I recently integrated a Qubino Flush 1D into my gate opener setup, which has been working smoothly for the most part. The ability to emulate the remote control functionality is pretty neat, but I’ve encountered some quirks when trying to lock the gates open. It seems the delay in the device handler causes issues with the quick button press required. I’ve tried tweaking the auto-off settings, but it’s still not perfect. I’m curious if anyone has found a workaround or if using a virtual switch might be a better approach.

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with Shelly 3EM devices to monitor my energy consumption. Replacing the old current transformers with these smart ones has been a game-changer, but I’m still figuring out the best way to utilize the data within my home automation system. It’s fascinating to see how much insight these devices provide into my daily energy usage. If anyone has tips on optimizing energy monitoring setups, I’d love to hear them!

Overall, the process has been a great learning experience, and I’m excited to continue exploring the possibilities with these devices. If anyone has similar setups or has faced and overcome similar challenges, I’d love to hear your stories and tips!
