It would be incredibly helpful to have real-time updates without manually refreshing the app.
Another area I’ve been exploring is the use of motion and light sensors. I recently installed a Neo CoolCam Z-Wave Motion Sensor, which has been working perfectly. However, the light sensor component reports 0 lux consistently, even in well-lit rooms. I’m curious if this is by design or if there’s a configuration parameter I’m missing. It would be fantastic if these sensors could provide accurate light level data for more dynamic automation scenarios.
I’ve also been experimenting with automations and routines. One thing I’ve noticed is that while the interface allows for detailed configurations, it lacks a way to add comments or descriptions within the automation flow. This makes it harder to keep track of complex setups, especially when collaborating with others. I wonder if there’s any plan to add this feature in future updates.
On a lighter note, I’ve found the community support to be invaluable. Whether it’s troubleshooting a malfunctioning device or seeking advice on the best setup for a new gadget, the collective knowledge shared here has been a tremendous help. For example, after struggling with a Tuya 4-gang switch that wouldn’t respond, I found a solution by adjusting the device settings and ensuring proper network connectivity.
