I recently acquired a smart humidifier and have been exploring its features, particularly the night light option. While the device itself is fantastic, I’ve encountered a minor inconvenience: the light seems to activate only when the humidifier is running. I was hoping to use the light independently for nighttime ambiance without the added humidity, but it doesn’t seem to have that functionality out of the box.
I’ve spent some time researching and reaching out to the community to see if others have encountered the same issue or found a workaround. It would be wonderful if there was a way to toggle the light separately, perhaps through a third-party app or a custom rule in the smart home ecosystem. I’m curious if anyone has successfully done this or if there’s a feature request in the works for future firmware updates.
In the meantime, I’m enjoying the humidifier’s performance and the subtle glow it provides when in use. It’s a comforting addition to my bedroom setup, and I’m hopeful that an independent light option might be on the horizon. If anyone has any insights or solutions, I’d love to hear about them!
