I’ve been using the Govee H7172 Smart Countertop Ice Maker for a while now, and it’s been a game-changer for keeping my home stocked with ice cubes. It’s reliable, and the app interface is straightforward for scheduling and monitoring. However, I’ve been thinking about how this device could be even better.
One feature I’d love to see is a usage counter. Imagine being able to track how many ice cubes have been made over time! It would be a fun way to quantify consumption and even set some playful goals. I’ve been using this ice maker almost constantly since unpacking it, and I’d love to know just how many cubes it’s churned out.
The app currently lacks this functionality, but it’s a simple idea that could add a lot of value. It would also be great to see more integration options with other smart home devices. For example, having the ice maker automatically pause when the freezer door is open or sync with a smart water dispenser.
If anyone from Govee is reading this, please consider adding a usage counter feature! 
It would be a fun and practical addition to an already excellent product.
