Exploring Smart Irrigation and Camera Motion Detection

Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all.

First off, I’ve recently set up two HMW-IO-12-Sw 14-DR controllers to manage our garden irrigation system. It’s been a fun project, but I’ve run into a small hiccup. When I press the “On” button, the sprinkler turns on, but the UI doesn’t update to reflect that it’s active. Has anyone else experienced this? I’m curious if it’s a common issue or if there’s a simple fix I’m missing.

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with outdoor cameras and noticed that motion detection often kicks in too late. By the time the camera starts recording, the person has already passed the area. I’d love to hear if anyone has tips or settings that can help improve the reaction time.

Lastly, I’ve been thinking about integrating Wyze doorbells into my smart home setup. I have two doorbells in separate homes, but one consistently sends notifications while the other doesn’t. It’s a bit frustrating, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to group them or troubleshoot this inconsistency.

Overall, I’m really enjoying the journey of automating my home, but these little challenges keep me on my toes. I’d love to hear your thoughts, experiences, and any advice you might have! :star2:
