Hi everyone! I’ve been diving into some exciting smart home projects lately and wanted to share my experiences and ask for some advice.
First, I’ve been working on automating my garden sprinklers using the Smart Irrigation custom component. It’s been a fantastic way to manage watering schedules, especially with the daily rainfall sensor integration. However, I’ve run into a bit of a snag with the timing. My Netatmo rain sensor resets at midnight, but I want to run the sprinklers at 6 AM. I need a way to store the previous day’s rain data just before midnight and account for any rain that falls between then and 6 AM. Has anyone tackled a similar issue? Any tips on how to adjust the sensor readings or store the data effectively would be greatly appreciated!
On another note, I’ve been exploring DIY projects to enhance my smart home setup. I recently came across a tutorial on using a Raspberry Pi to save conversations with smart assistants, which I think is a brilliant idea for reference in future interactions. If anyone has tried something similar or has any additional tips, I’d love to hear about it!
Lastly, I’ve been looking into camera setups and stumbled upon some challenges with Arlo Ultra 2 cameras not recording videos. While I haven’t experienced this issue myself, it’s something that’s piqued my curiosity. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s resolved similar problems or has insights into troubleshooting camera recording issues.
Thanks to everyone for their contributions and wisdom in this amazing community! It’s always inspiring to see so many innovative ideas and solutions shared. Let me know if anyone has advice on my irrigation timing issue or DIY projects—I’m eager to learn and improve my smart home setup!
