Exploring Smart Irrigation Solutions in Extreme Heat

Summer in Arizona can be brutal, especially with temperatures soaring above 110°F. I’ve been using an irrigation controller for the past year, but the extreme heat is really putting it to the test. The app only allows me to set a maximum of 6-8 hours of sunlight, but in reality, my zones are exposed to full sun from sunrise to sunset. This discrepancy is causing the app to show much higher saturation levels than what my moisture meter and manual checks indicate. For example, the app might say 50% saturated, but the soil feels bone dry to the touch.

I’m curious if anyone else has faced similar challenges with smart irrigation systems in such extreme conditions. Are there any workarounds or settings adjustments that can help the system better adapt to these high temperatures? I’d love to leverage the automatic scheduling feature without the system overestimating the saturation levels. Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated! :sun_with_face::sweat_drops:
