Hello everyone, I’m excited to share my journey with smart irrigation and how I integrated it into my home automation setup. I recently configured the ‘smart irrigation’ integration, and it’s been working smoothly so far. However, I wanted to take it a step further by creating a custom automation that starts my irrigation system, waits for a specific duration, and then stops it automatically.
Here’s where the challenge came in. I wanted the waiting time to be dynamic, based on the value from my sensor.smart_irrigation_rasen. After some research and experimentation, I figured out how to use the sensor’s value to set the waiting time in my automation. It was a bit tricky, but I managed to get it working by using the sensor’s state as the duration for the delay.
I thought I’d share this with the community in case someone else is looking to implement a similar setup. It’s been a great learning experience, and I’m happy to see my garden thriving with this smart solution. If anyone has questions or suggestions, I’d love to hear them!
