I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and home automation, and I’m absolutely thrilled with how it’s transforming my space! 
Over the past few months, I’ve been experimenting with Govee and Shelly devices, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and tips with the community.
One of my favorite discoveries has been the Govee Lyra, which I recently upgraded. The build quality feels much sturdier this time around, and the remote sync feature is a game-changer! It’s so satisfying to know that my remote is exclusively paired with my lamp. Plus, the weighted base keeps it perfectly stable—no more wobbles! 
On the automation front, I’ve been playing with Shelly devices to streamline my routines. For instance, I set up a Shelly Motion sensor to automatically turn on my outdoor lights when I come home. However, I ran into a small hiccup during the setup. When I tried assigning the sensor to a specific room in the app, I kept getting an error message: “Cannot complete the operation. Device is lost. Please wake up your device and try again.” After a bit of troubleshooting, I realized the sensor needed a fresh wake-up command. Once I did that, everything worked like a charm! 
I’m also curious about others’ experiences with Shelly 1Plus for integrating legacy devices. I have an Eltaco switch that’s controlled by 8V AC, and I’m wondering if anyone has successfully paired it with a Shelly 1Plus. Any tips or success stories would be greatly appreciated! 
Another area I’m exploring is outdoor lighting. I’ve been eyeing some Govee outdoor lights for my garden, but I’m concerned about their durability in extreme weather conditions, especially given the harsh winters we have here. If anyone has recommendations or experiences with outdoor Govee lights, I’d love to hear about it! 
Lastly, I’d like to share a quick tip for anyone struggling with Zigbee connections. I’ve found that ensuring your coordinator is in a central location and free from interference can make a huge difference. If you’re experiencing dropouts, double-check your network settings and try moving the coordinator closer to your devices.
