Hi everyone,
I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and device compatibility lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with the community.
First, I’ve been using the GE dimmer switches (model 12724) for my recessed ceiling lights. They’ve been great so far, but I’ve encountered some issues with flickering and buzzing when dimming. I’ve tried a few different LED bulbs, including the Philips A19 and EcoSmart 40-watt replacements, but none have completely solved the problem. I’m curious if anyone has found a bulb that works seamlessly with these dimmers. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
On another note, I’ve been exploring the use of Xiaomi Zigbee buttons for automation. While I’ve managed to pair them and get basic functionality working, I’ve noticed that the devices become inactive after some time and require re-pairing. This seems to be a common issue, and I’m wondering if anyone has found a reliable workaround or if there’s been any progress on this front.
Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with creating flows that recognize a series of button presses. For example, pressing a button three times to trigger a specific action like turning on a light or opening a door. I’ve tried using the Fibaro Smart Impact button, but the scenes functionality doesn’t seem to work as intended. If anyone has successfully implemented this or has tips for achieving it, I’d love to hear your insights!
Thanks in advance for your help and shared experiences. It’s amazing to see how much can be accomplished with the right setup and a bit of creativity!
Best regards,
