Hi everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting automation lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and tips. ![]()
First off, I’ve been experimenting with setting up motion-activated lights using my Amcrest Doorbell camera. It’s been a fun challenge to get the timing just right so that the lights stay on long enough but don’t trigger themselves unnecessarily. I stumbled upon a helpful automation setup that uses delays to prevent the camera from re-triggering the lights too soon. If anyone has tips on fine-tuning these delays, I’d love to hear them! ![]()
On another note, I’ve been exploring the Govee app store and stumbled upon some amazing light themes that others have shared. It’s incredible how creative the community gets with these themes—everything from cosmic meteor showers to festive holiday decorations. If you’re looking for inspiration, I highly recommend checking out the suggestions thread for light themes! ![]()
I also wanted to give a shoutout to the developers who are continuously improving integrations and devices. For instance, the recent updates to the Zigbee Hue bulb integration and the SmartApp Light Helper have been game-changers for me. The ability to sync color changes across apps and manage unreachable states has made my setup much smoother. Huge props to KristopherKubicki and the community for their contributions! ![]()
Lastly, I’d love to hear from others who are working on similar automation projects or have tips for optimizing smart lighting setups. Whether it’s about delays, themes, or integration hacks, let’s keep the ideas flowing! ![]()
Looking forward to connecting with more of you and learning from your experiences. Happy automating! ![]()
