I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting automation, and I’m absolutely thrilled with the possibilities it offers! 
My goal is to create a seamless and cozy home atmosphere that adjusts automatically based on the time of day and my activities. Here’s what I’ve been working on and what I’d love to hear from the community.First off, I’ve set up a group of lamps throughout my home, from the living room to the bedrooms. The idea is to have them gradually change brightness throughout the day—softer in the evenings for a relaxing vibe and brighter during the day for productivity. I’ve managed to create a basic automation using time-based triggers, but I’m hitting a snag: if I turn on a light manually later in the evening, it goes to full brightness instead of matching the dimmer setting. Any tips on how to ensure all lights sync to the same brightness level when activated? 
Another thing I’m curious about is integrating different brands. I’ve got a mix of Yeelight bulbs and Philips Hue dimmer switches, and I’d love to have the Hue switches control the Yeelight bulbs seamlessly through Home Assistant. Has anyone successfully done this? I’d love to hear about your setups and any challenges you overcame! 
On the automation front, I’ve also been experimenting with using motion sensors to trigger multiple cameras simultaneously when there’s activity detected. It’s been a fun project, but I’m still tweaking the settings to make sure it’s reliable and doesn’t trigger unnecessarily. If anyone has experience with this or any recommended resources, I’d be grateful for the insights! 
Lastly, I’m always on the lookout for innovative ways to enhance my smart home setup without relying on the cloud. I’ve come across some DIY projects using Arduino and Raspberry Pi, and while they’re a bit intimidating for a newbie like me, I’m excited to give them a try. Maybe I’ll start with something simple, like a custom scene controller, to make my home even more intuitive to use.
