While the Govee bulbs were a great fit for my outdoor setup, I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability and performance of the Tapo L535E bulbs. They’re perfect for task lighting and adding a touch of color to my spaces!
I also experimented with scene automation, particularly for bedtime routines. Creating a calming scene that dims the lights and plays soothing music has been a game-changer for winding down after a long day. I’d love to hear if anyone has their go-to bedtime scenes or DIY setups they’d like to share!
Another area I explored was controlling multiple lights from a single widget in HABPanel. While I had some initial hiccups with delayed responses, setting up a rule that triggers all relevant devices simultaneously worked wonders. It’sAmazing how much smoother everything runs when you automate it!
I’d also like to touch on firmware updates. I recently updated my Vera Edge to the latest firmware, and while the process was smooth, I did encounter a minor hiccup with a GE dimmer. Thankfully, reaching out to the community helped me troubleshoot and get everything up and running again. It’s a reminder of how invaluable this community is!
Lastly, I’m curious about everyone’s experiences with energy monitoring. I’ve been eyeing the Open Energy Monitor system but haven’t taken the plunge yet. Has anyone had success integrating it with Home Assistant? I’d love to hear about your setups and any tips you might have!
