I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of seamless home automation, and my recent adventure with smart lighting has been nothing short of exciting! 
Over the past few months, I’ve been experimenting with integrating my LIFX bulbs and Wemo LED strips into my smart home setup, all controlled through Amazon Echo. Initially, I was curious about whether Alexa could handle color changes across these devices, and I’m thrilled to say it absolutely does! 
Here’s a quick tip for anyone looking to dive into color automation: Pairing your devices with SmartThings allows for some pretty cool voice commands. For instance, I can now say, “Alexa, turn the living room lights red” or “Alexa, set the kitchen lights to blue”, and it works like magic! 
One thing I’ve learned is the importance of proper setup. Ensuring all devices are correctly paired and configured within the SmartThings app was key to making everything work smoothly. It’s also been a joy discovering how different color settings can completely transform the ambiance of a room.
