I’ve recently started my journey into home automation with the Aqara FP2 sensor, and I must say, it’s been a delightful experience!
The ability to detect motion and control my bedroom lights automatically has made my mornings and evenings so much more convenient. However, as I delve deeper into setting up my system, I’ve stumbled upon a scenario that I’d love to optimize further.
The Aqara FP2 works seamlessly to turn my bedroom lights on when I enter, but I’m curious about enhancing this setup. Specifically, I’d love to create an automation where, if the sensor detects that I’m in bed, it keeps the lights in their current state—whether they’re off or already on. This would be perfect for those late-night moments when I don’t want to disturb my sleep partner by turning the lights on or off. ![]()
I’ve explored the automation settings in Home Assistant, but I’m not quite sure how to structure this particular rule. Any insights or tips from the community would be incredibly helpful! I’m also open to hearing about similar setups others have successfully implemented. Let’s brainstorm together and make this automation a reality! ![]()
