I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting automation lately, and it’s been an exciting journey!
I recently set up a system using Govee smart plugs and Tuya sensors to automate my home lighting. The goal was to create a seamless experience where lights turn on automatically when I enter a room and adjust based on natural light levels during the day. One of the most rewarding parts of this project was integrating a luminosity sensor to control the LED lights in my garden. Using a TSL2561 sensor, I was able to set up a system where the lights come on at night and switch off during the day. It’s been a great way to save energy while still enjoying the ambiance of my garden in the evenings. However, I encountered a few hiccups along the way. Initially, I faced some compatibility issues with the Govee smart plugs and my existing automation setup. After some research and testing, I discovered that using the Tuya app for configuration was the key to getting everything working smoothly. The integration process was a bit tricky at first, but the support community was incredibly helpful, and I managed to get everything up and running without too much trouble. Another interesting challenge was setting up a reliable automation for my fountain. I wanted it to run during the day but not interfere with my evening relaxation. After some trial and error, I found that using a combination of time-based automation and motion sensors worked perfectly. Now, the fountain runs during the day and stops when it detects no movement for an extended period, ensuring it doesn’t disrupt my evenings. I’d love to hear from others who have tackled similar projects or have tips for improving my setup. Whether it’s about optimizing energy usage, enhancing automation reliability, or integrating new devices, I’m all ears!
Let’s continue to explore and innovate together in the world of smart home automation. ![]()
