Exploring Smart Lighting Automation with Hue and Home Assistant

I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting automation lately, and it’s been an absolute blast! :rocket: I recently set up a Hue light strip in my office, and I’m trying to get it to run in Colorloop mode automatically. However, I’m hitting a bit of a snag with getting the automation to start the Colorloop effect. Does anyone know if there’s a way to trigger this directly through an automation in Home Assistant? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

On a different note, I’ve been absolutely thrilled with how my Aqara wall switches have integrated with my Zigbee setup. It’s amazing how seamless everything works together once you get the hang of it. I’ve even managed to reverse the functionality of my Aquara H1 and H2 switches, which was a bit of a puzzle at first but totally worth it!

I’m also curious about how others are handling the integration of their smart devices across different platforms. For instance, I’ve heard some folks mention issues with devices still showing up in Home Assistant even after deleting them from Google Home. Has anyone else encountered this and found a solution? I’d love to hear your tips and tricks!

Lastly, I’ve been exploring the idea of using custom email templates for invites, especially for scenarios like self-check-ins for guests. It would be awesome to include more detailed information, like location cues or door codes, right in the invite. If anyone has experience with this or knows of a way to implement it, I’d be super grateful for the insight!

All in all, it’s incredible how much you can do with the right setup and a bit of creativity. Looking forward to hearing from everyone and learning more about your projects and experiences! :bulb::sparkles:
