I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting automation lately, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! 
I recently set up a Lutron dimmer system integrated with my Hubitat ecosystem, and while most things are working smoothly, I’ve encountered a small hiccup that I’m eager to resolve. Let me walk you through my experience and maybe we can troubleshoot together!
First off, I absolutely love how my Lutron system works seamlessly with Hubitat for most of my devices. The integration is smooth, and controlling my lights through the Hubitat app is a breeze. However, I noticed that my Google Home isn’t detecting my Lutron dimmer via the Hubitat hub. It finds all my Z-Wave switches without any issues, but the dimmer remains elusive. I’m curious if anyone else has faced this and how they managed to resolve it. 
Moving on to another topic, I’ve been exploring the possibilities of using binary sensors with MQTT in Home Assistant. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’m starting to get the hang of it. I set up a sensor to monitor my laundry dryer, but I’m encountering an error related to the value_json template. The logs keep showing that the payload isn’t matching, which is a bit puzzling. I’ve double-checked my config, and everything seems in order. Maybe I’m missing something simple here. Any insights would be greatly appreciated! 
Another area I’ve been exploring is server-side scripting within the www directory of my Home Assistant setup. I’ve been successfully dumping snapshots from my camera into this directory, and it’s been working like a charm. However, I’d love to take it a step further by creating an image gallery or a slideshow using server-side scripting. Is this possible within the www directory? If so, how can I go about implementing it? I’m eager to enhance my setup further and make it more interactive. 
Lastly, I’ve been thinking about how to integrate different smart devices from various brands into a cohesive system. It’s a common challenge, but I believe with the right approach, it’s totally achievable. I’d love to hear from others who’ve successfully integrated multiple brands and how they managed to overcome any hurdles along the way.
