I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting automation with my Milight Binding setup, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey!
I recently upgraded my system to include an RGBWW Controller connected to a 10m LED strip, and I’m absolutely thrilled with the possibilities it opens up for my kitchen lighting setup. However, I’ve encountered a small hiccup that I’m eager to resolve.
One feature I’m particularly keen on is the ability to switch directly to white light via OpenHAB. I’ve set up some rules to change the color based on certain conditions, but I’ve noticed that the ‘White Mode’ channel in the Paper UI is greyed out. This has left me a bit puzzled. Does anyone have any insights or solutions on how to enable this feature? I’m also curious about how others have successfully integrated similar setups and if there are any best practices I should be aware of.
On a lighter note, I’ve been experimenting with creating dynamic lighting scenes using the RGBWW Controller. It’s amazing how a simple rule can completely transform the ambiance of a room. For instance, I’ve programmed my kitchen lights to shift to a warm golden hue during sunset, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for dinner. These little victories make the learning curve totally worth it!
If anyone has tips on optimizing rule performance or suggestions for achieving smoother transitions between color modes, I’d love to hear them. Let’s keep the ideas flowing and continue to explore the endless possibilities of smart lighting automation together! ![]()
