I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting automation, and I’m excited to share my journey and some questions I have along the way. I recently set up an RGBW2 controller with four white lights, each serving a different purpose in my home. My goal is to create a seamless lighting experience where I can switch between various scenes with just a simple tap on a switch.
Here’s how I envision it working: I have four lights—1) a mirror light, 2) a ceiling light, 3) a reading lamp, and 4) a floor light. I want to be able to toggle between these lights in a sequence. For example, pressing the switch once turns on the mirror light, pressing it again turns it off and turns on the ceiling light, and so on. I also thought about adding a long press to turn off all the lights at once.
I’ve explored the settings on the RGBW2 and found some features that might help, but I’m not entirely sure how to configure them to achieve this functionality. Is there a way to program the RGBW2 to recognize the state of each channel and trigger the next one based on the current state? I’m also curious if there’s a specific setting or feature I might have missed that could make this automation smoother.
If anyone has experience with similar setups or can offer some guidance, I’d greatly appreciate it! I’m eager to learn and refine this system to make my lighting as intuitive and efficient as possible.
