Hello everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting automation lately and wanted to share my experiences and some questions I have. I’ve successfully integrated several Shelly devices into my home, including light switches and plugs, and I’m now looking to expand this setup to include my roller blinds (Raffstores).
Currently, I have 8 Raffstores controlled by B&J double switches with a lock mechanism. The wiring goes to a distribution panel, and I have a wind sensor on the roof that automatically opens the blinds, as well as a central switch to control all of them. My goal is to integrate these Raffstores into my existing smart home setup using Shelly devices.
I’ve considered a few options: placing Shelly units behind the existing switches, replacing the Eltako switches with Shelly devices, or exploring a completely different approach. I’d love to hear the community’s thoughts on the best way to achieve this integration.
On another note, I’ve also been experimenting with setting up a light template in Home Assistant that supports both white and RGB color modes. I came across some documentation suggesting the use of color_mode, but I’m still unclear on how to properly implement this in a template. If anyone has a working example or tips, I’d greatly appreciate the help!
Lastly, I wanted to express my gratitude to the community for all the resources and support. It’s amazing to see how collaborative and innovative the smart home ecosystem is. Looking forward to hearing your insights and experiences!
