Exploring Smart Lighting Automation with Wyze and Shelly

I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting automation lately, and I just wanted to share some of my experiences and insights with the community. :star2:

Starting with Wyze, their cameras and sensors have been a game-changer for me. I recently set up a Wyze motion sensor outside my garage, and it’s been working perfectly to turn on the exterior lights when someone approaches. The integration with my Wyze app has been seamless, and I love how I can customize the sensitivity settings to avoid false triggers. However, I did run into an issue where the motion sensor stopped sending notifications a few weeks ago. After some troubleshooting, I realized it was a firmware update that caused the problem. Thankfully, Wyze support was quick to respond and provided a fix. :+1:

Now, switching gears to Shelly devices, I’ve been using the Shelly Plus H&T to monitor temperature and humidity in my living room. It’s been a reliable tool, and I appreciate how it seamlessly integrates with my existing smart home setup. I’ve even set up a simple automation where the air conditioning kicks in if the temperature exceeds a certain threshold. The best part? I can control everything from my phone or through voice commands with my Echo device. :hammer_and_wrench:

One thing I’ve been experimenting with is combining Wyze and Shelly devices for more complex automations. For instance, I’ve set up a routine where the lights turn on when the motion sensor detects movement, and the air conditioning adjusts based on the room’s temperature. It’s amazing how these devices work together to create a more comfortable living environment. :house:

I’d love to hear from others who have combined different smart home devices for unique automations. What are your favorite setups or tips for integrating devices from different brands? Let’s keep the conversation going! :handshake:
