For instance, I can now control my home IoT devices while driving. Imagine this: as I’m driving home, I can turn on my entertainment lights a few blocks away without even pressing a button. I simply say, “Hey Google, turn on my media center lights,” and voilà, my lights are on by the time I arrive. It’s little moments like these that make me appreciate how far smart home technology has come!
Another fun project I’ve been working on is setting up a smart switch for my front porch light. It’s been a lifesaver, especially during late nights when I don’t want to fumble with keys. I can now turn the light on as I pull into the driveway, all through my phone. It’s these small conveniences that really make a house feel like a smart home.
