Exploring Smart Lighting Integration with FL Studio

I’ve recently been diving into the world of smart lighting integration with my FL Studio setup, and it’s been an absolute blast! :notes: I’ve got these H618F 100ft edition lights that I’ve been wanting to sync with my music production workflow. The idea is to have the lights respond to the beats or even the volume of my tracks in real-time. Imagine having your lights flash in perfect sync with your drum patterns or dim down with the drop of a bassline—it’d be such a cool visual addition to my studio setup!

I started by looking into the LAN API feature on my lights, which allows for remote control via the network. I thought, why not try scripting something up? I gave Python a shot, following some tutorials I found online, but honestly, it was a bit of a rollercoaster. There were a few hurdles, like figuring out the right API endpoints and dealing with timing issues, but it was a great learning experience!

The ultimate goal is to move away from the basic music mode and create something more tailored to my production needs. I’m curious if anyone else out there has tackled a similar project or has any tips on how to make this integration smoother. Maybe there’s a more straightforward way than diving into Python scripts? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

In the meantime, I’ll keep tweaking my setup and maybe even explore some pre-built solutions or plugins that could simplify the process. It’s all about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with smart lighting and music production!
