Exploring Smart Lighting Integration with Hue and Z-Wave Switches

Hello everyone, I’m currently exploring ways to integrate my GE Z-Wave switches with Philips Hue bulbs to create a seamless smart lighting experience. I’ve noticed that when the Z-Wave switches are in an ‘always on’ state, guests or housekeepers might accidentally turn them off, which disrupts the smart bulb controls. I’m wondering if there’s a smart app or automation that can detect redundant ‘on’ events from the Z-Wave switch and trigger the Hue bulb to turn on with a specific brightness level, say 100%. This would prevent the bulbs from staying off and ensure a more intuitive user experience for everyone in the house. I’ve considered using a pseudo-code logic for this scenario, but I’m not sure if the Z-Wave switch sends an event to the system when it’s already in an ‘on’ state. Any insights or suggestions from the community would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your help.
