Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and wanted to share my experiences and questions with the community. I recently added two non-Hue lights to my Home Assistant setup, hoping to integrate them into the Hue ecosystem. While I’ve managed to get them working within Home Assistant, I’m struggling to connect them to the Hue app or IConnect Hue HD.
I followed the configuration guide and set up the emulated Hue bridge, but when I try to add it to the Hue app, it doesn’t detect the bridge. The Android app Hue Essentials gives me a 404 error, which is confusing because the URL seems correct. A normal Hue bridge would return an authorization error, but I’m getting nothing.
I’m curious if anyone else has encountered this issue or has any troubleshooting tips. Is there something I might be missing in the configuration? I’d love to get these lights fully integrated so I can control them seamlessly across my smart home setup.
On a positive note, I’ve been impressed with how Home Assistant handles these lights, and I’m excited to explore more integration possibilities. It’s a shame I can’t get them working with Hue, but I’m hopeful the community can shed some light on this! Thanks in advance for your insights.
