Exploring Smart Lighting Integration with Tuya and Velux

Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and insights. I recently added a Tuya single color LED Controller to my setup, and while it’s been a mostly smooth experience, there’s been a bit of a puzzle to solve. The device works perfectly in Phoscon for on/off and dimming, but it goes unavailable in Home Assistant immediately after turning on, although the LEDs stay lit. It’s quirky, but I can live with it since the brightness adjustments still work seamlessly across both platforms. The real magic happens with automations—this little device is a champ when it comes to creating routines, which is exactly what I wanted in the first place!

On another front, I’ve been exploring ways to integrate my Velux Solar-Rolladen into my smart home ecosystem. I stumbled upon an interesting idea: using the Velux KLF 050 System as an interface to connect these blinds with my HMIP setup. The plan is to use the HMIP Rolladenaktor as a remote control, essentially translating the signals to operate the blinds. It feels a bit like a workaround, but I’m hopeful it’ll pay off with a seamless integration. I’d love to hear if anyone has experience with this setup or any alternative approaches!

Lastly, I wanted to share a bit of excitement about my recent purchase of the Govee LED Light Strip Set. It’s been a joy to experiment with different color sequences and scenes. The Govee Home app makes it incredibly intuitive to create dynamic lighting effects, and the possibilities are endless. Whether it’s setting the mood for a movie night or creating a vibrant atmosphere for guests, these strips have quickly become a favorite in my smart home arsenal.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on these projects or any tips you might have for optimizing these setups. Happy tinkering everyone! :rocket:
