Hi everyone, I’m reaching out for some advice on integrating my Yeelight 1S Color Bulb with my iPhone using the Xiaomi Home app. I’ve had some success with my Bedside Lamp II, but the 1S bulb is giving me a bit of trouble. Let me walk you through what’s happening and see if anyone has encountered a similar issue or can offer a solution.
So, I followed the usual setup steps: resetting the bulb, entering my WiFi info, and trying to connect my iPhone to the bulb’s network. But here’s where I hit a snag. When my iPhone tries to connect to the bulb’s network, it pops up with an option to add the bulb to HomeKit or cancel. I don’t want to use HomeKit; I prefer sticking with the Xiaomi Home app for consistency with my other devices. I’ve tried connecting it to the Yeelight app, and that works fine, but I’d really like to keep everything in one place with Xiaomi Home.
I’ve tried resetting the bulb multiple times, ensuring my WiFi network is stable, and even reinstalling the app. Nothing seems to work. I’m wondering if there’s a workaround or a step I’m missing. Maybe there’s a way to export the bulb from the Yeelight app to Xiaomi Home? I’m not sure, but I’d love to explore that option.
I’ve also noticed that the Bedside Lamp II didn’t require connecting to its WiFi network during setup, which is a bit confusing. Why the difference? Is there a setting or a feature I’m overlooking that could simplify this process?
If anyone has successfully integrated a Yeelight 1S bulb with the Xiaomi Home app without using HomeKit, I’d love to hear about your experience. Any tips, tricks, or insights would be incredibly helpful. I’m really looking forward to getting this bulb up and running smoothly!
