Exploring Smart Lighting Scenarios for Nighttime

I’ve recently delved into the world of smart lighting and am thoroughly enjoying the flexibility it offers, especially during the night. As someone who values comfort and safety, finding the perfect lighting setup for nighttime has been a priority. I stumbled upon the M1 smart lights, which have been a great addition to my home, but I’ve noticed that many of the preset scenes are quite vibrant and energetic, which isn’t ideal for late-night use.

One feature I particularly liked was the ‘Night - A’ mode on my older H6143, which offered a calming blend of dark purples and blues. However, the M1 version includes a bright white flash that disrupts the serene atmosphere I’m aiming for. This has led me on a quest to create a more soothing nighttime scene.

I’ve found that duplicating colors from Philips Hue bulbs on my Govee M1 has been a great workaround. By taking screenshots of Hue scenes and setting them as custom colors on the M1, I’ve managed to achieve a harmonious blend that’s perfect for winding down. Some of my favorite Hue scenes, like ‘Moonlight’ and ‘Arctic Aurora,’ have translated beautifully.

If anyone has tips on creating or finding additional calming night themes, especially with darker hues, I’d love to hear your suggestions! It’s been fascinating exploring how different lighting setups can influence my mood and daily routine. Let’s continue this discussion and share our experiences in creating the ideal nighttime ambiance. Thanks for your insights!
