It turns out the order in which devices are added to a group within the Switchbot app plays a significant role in how they respond to commands from Home Assistant. Understanding this has helped me fine-tune the setup to achieve the coordinated movements I desired.
On a different note, I’ve been curious about the integration of smart lighting with other home automation systems. For instance, the LifeSmart presence sensor using mmWave technology caught my attention. While it’s not yet available, the potential for true presence detection without motion events is intriguing. I’m looking forward to seeing how this technology can complement my existing smart lighting setup.
