Exploring Smart Lighting Solutions and AI Camera Training

Hello everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and AI-powered cameras lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all. :rocket:

First, I’ve been experimenting with smart lights from Govee and Shelly. Setting up the Govee strip lights was a breeze, and the app integration is seamless. However, I noticed that the dimming functionality doesn’t always respond as smoothly as I’d like. Has anyone else experienced this, or perhaps found a workaround?

On the AI front, I’ve been using Eufy’s S380 and e220 cameras for both indoor and outdoor monitoring. While the AI detection is impressive, I’ve been struggling with false positives. For instance, the indoor cameras keep flagging a wall hanging as a potential intruder, and the outdoor camera constantly误报 on bushes. I’ve adjusted the detection range, but it’s still not reliable enough. Does anyone know if there’s a way to train the AI to recognize these common false targets more accurately? :brain:

Another topic I’ve been curious about is integrating multiple smart devices from different brands. I’ve heard that OpenHAB is a great platform for this, but I’m still getting the hang of it. Specifically, I’m trying to set up a scene where the lights dim automatically when the motion sensor detects no activity after the door closes. It’s a bit tricky, but I’m determined to crack it! :hammer_and_wrench:

Lastly, I wanted to highlight how impressed I’ve been with Govee’s customer service. After reaching out about an issue with my devices, they responded within a day and even offered a discount on my next purchase. It’s a relief to deal with a company that values its customers.

If anyone has tips or experiences to share on these topics, I’d love to hear them! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other make the most of our smart homes. :bulb::sparkles:
