Hello everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and automation, and I wanted to share my experiences and some tips I’ve picked up along the way. 
Recently, I decided to upgrade my home lighting system with some Govee LED bulbs and strip lights. The results have been absolutely stunning! The color accuracy and brightness are incredible, and they’ve completely transformed the ambiance of my kitchen and living areas.

For example, when I walk into the dining room, the lights automatically adjust to a warm, inviting tone. It’s these little touches that make home automation so rewarding! 
However, I’ve also faced some challenges. I have a few kids who tend to toggle switches, which can sometimes disrupt the flow. To address this, I’ve been exploring the idea of using always-on power with some clever automations. The goal is to detect when the power is turned off and immediately switch it back on. This way, the lights stay on without the need for childproof covers, maintaining that sleek, uncluttered look I love. 
I’ve also been looking into using some budget-friendly mounts to create a custom control dashboard. It’s all about finding that perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics! 
Another project I’ve been working on is setting up a system to monitor the status of my old alarm system. I’ve managed to connect some of the LED indicators to my smart hub, which now sends notifications to my phone. It’s a neat way to stay updated without having to constantly check the panel.
