I’ve heard that there are custom device handlers available for other brands, like the Remotec ZRC-90, which can support up to 24 functions. I’m curious if something similar exists for the Sylvania switches or if I’d need to create a custom handler myself.Another area I’ve been exploring is the integration of LED lighting solutions. I stumbled upon these VJK Glow LED Faucet Lights and thought they’d be a fun way to add some ambiance to my bathroom. They’re battery-free, which is a huge plus, and they come in seven different colors. I’ve been using them for a few weeks now, and they’ve been working flawlessly. It’s amazing how such a small addition can really elevate the feel of a space.On the topic of lighting, I’ve also been experimenting with creating custom lighting scenes using my SmartThings setup. For instance, I’ve set up a scene where the lights dim to a warm golden hue in the evenings, creating a cozy atmosphere. Pairing this with my SmartThings routines, I can automate these scenes based on time or even my geolocation. It’s these little touches that make my home feel truly smart and personalized.One thing I’d love to explore further is customizing device handlers for other lighting devices I have. For example, I have several OSRAM Lightify Tunable White Lights that I’d love to control more precisely, possibly integrating them with my existing dimmer switches. I’ve heard that with the right device handlers, you can unlock a lot more functionality, but I’m still learning the ropes here.Overall, this journey into smart lighting has been incredibly rewarding. It’s shown me how much potential there is to customize and enhance my smart home experience.
