Exploring Smart Lighting Solutions and My Favorite Govee Product

Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and thoughts with you all. First off, I recently got my hands on the Govee Smart LED Floor Lamp, and wow, it’s been a game-changer for my home setup. I placed it in the corner of my room, and it’s perfect for both gaming and reading. The brightness and color options are amazing, and it really sets the mood depending on what I’m doing. If you’re into smart lighting, I highly recommend checking this one out!

Now, onto some troubleshooting. I’ve been experimenting with the Shelly 3EM energy monitor, and while it’s a fantastic device, I ran into an issue where I couldn’t download my energy consumption data. I was really hoping to track my usage more closely, but without that feature, it felt a bit limiting. I reached out to the community, and it turns out there’s no direct download option like the Shelly 1PM. Still, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a future update!

Another thing I’ve been exploring is integrating my smart devices with Homey. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but I’ve managed to get most of my gadgets working smoothly. However, I did encounter a strange issue where my Homey crashed in the middle of the night with a high CPU load but low temperature. It was a bit stressful, but after a quick restart, everything went back to normal. I’m still not entirely sure what caused it, so if anyone has insights or tips, I’d love to hear them!

On a lighter note, I’ve been really impressed with how customizable smart lighting can be. From setting up routines to automating scenes, it’s amazing how much it can enhance your living space. I’ve even started experimenting with creating my own watch faces for my smartwatch, though I’m still figuring out how to make them free for a limited time without running into app store restrictions. If anyone has tips on that, I’d appreciate the help!

All in all, the journey into smart home tech has been both challenging and rewarding. It’s incredible to see how these devices can work together to create a more connected and efficient home. I’m excited to see what the future holds and can’t wait to dive into more projects!

If anyone has questions or experiences to share about their smart lighting setups or any other smart home gadgets, feel free to drop a comment. Let’s keep the conversation going!

Cheers,
