Recently, I upgraded my home network to a 6e Mesh Network (Tri-band) and successfully paired Wyze White Bulbs using both the Wyze App and Home Assistant. However, the Wyze 2019 bulbs presented a unique challenge. Initially, they struggled to join the 2.4GHz network and would frequently drop back into pairing mode. To resolve this, I created a dedicated IoT network for 2.4GHz devices, ensuring the main network operated solely on 5GHz. While this stabilized the connection, the bulbs remain undetected by Home Assistant, despite appearing active in the Wyze App. This inconsistency is puzzling, and I’d love to hear if others have encountered similar issues or found a workaround.
On a more positive note, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the Govee Triad Flood Light. Its build quality is exceptional, and it’s weatherproof, making it a versatile addition to my outdoor lighting setup. I’ve also explored the Govee RGBIC LED strips, which offer a perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality for my display cases. Unfortunately, finding the exact model I need has been a challenge, and I’d appreciate any recommendations or alternative solutions.
Here’s a tip for anyone dealing with multiple motion sensors controlling the same lights: Instead of relying solely on associations, consider setting up scenes that trigger both motion sensors simultaneously. This approach ensures consistent lighting without the hassle of troubleshooting conflicting signals. For example, having two motion sensors on either end of a staircase can be programmed to activate the same lights for a set duration, providing seamless coverage.
I’d also like to highlight the importance of community support. Whether it’s troubleshooting network compatibility issues or seeking advice on integrating new devices, forums like this are invaluable.
