I’ve been diving into the world of smart lighting and Zigbee networks lately, and it’s been quite the journey!
I recently upgraded my lighting system with some Aeon Gen5 Multisensors, and while they work perfectly for motion and lux-based controls, I’ve run into some quirks with the Smart Lighting app. Specifically, one automation based on lux values refuses to trigger, despite receiving the data. It’s frustrating, but I’m determined to figure it out!
On the Zigbee front, I’ve been experimenting with visualizing my network using Hubitat. I stumbled upon XTCU, but it’s a bit confusing since it only shows device IDs. I’m hoping there’s a Hubitat-aware solution out there that can map my devices with their names and room assignments—something more user-friendly!
I also came across some interesting posts about integrating Simon 100 IO devices with SmartThings. It looks promising, especially for those of us planning new builds! I’m curious if anyone has had success with Z-Wave integration for these devices. ![]()
Another highlight was reading about someone successfully upgrading their Ideal Independent C24 boiler to OpenTherm. It’s inspiring to see DIY solutions that push the boundaries of what’s possible with smart home tech! ![]()
If anyone has tips on stabilizing the Smart Lighting app or recommendations for better Zigbee visualization tools, I’d love to hear them! Let’s keep the smart home conversation going! ![]()
