Hi everyone, I’m in the process of setting up a new home office in my shed, and I’m really excited to integrate some smart lighting solutions. I’ve been using Tuya Smart bulbs and a Sensibo controller in my main house, but since I’m starting fresh here, I’m open to exploring better options that might offer more flexibility and integration with my existing smart home setup.
One of the things I’m particularly interested in is using motion sensors to control the lights automatically. I’ve heard great things about Zigbee-based sensors, but I’m not entirely sure how to go about setting them up properly. I also want to make sure that the lights can be adjusted based on the time of day or specific routines I create. For example, having softer lighting in the evenings and brighter lights during the day would be ideal.
Another consideration is energy efficiency. I want to ensure that the lighting solutions I choose are not only smart but also eco-friendly. I’ve come across some options that offer power monitoring features, which would be a huge plus for tracking energy usage and optimizing my setup.
I’m also thinking about adding some smart switches or dimmers to control the lights more effectively. I’ve seen some models that support Zigbee and can be integrated with Home Assistant, which is what I’m currently using. However, I’m a bit concerned about the compatibility and whether I’ll need additional hubs or adapters to make everything work seamlessly.
If anyone has experience with setting up a similar system or has recommendations for specific products that work well together, I’d love to hear about it! I’m especially interested in hearing about others’ experiences with integrating different brands and ensuring smooth communication between devices. Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions you can share!
