I recently moved into a house with a medium-sized walk-in pantry, and I’ve been brainstorming ways to improve the lighting inside. The pantry has a small cabinet that’s currently hard to see into due to poor lighting. I’ve taken off the doors and plan to install slide-out shelves, but I need some smart lighting solutions to make it more functional and user-friendly.
I stumbled upon this Amazon product which seems like a great option. My plan is to place a light along the top of each shelf and connect them all to a single smart plug. I’ll use motion sensors and door sensors to automate the lighting, so the lights turn on when I open the pantry door or when motion is detected inside.
I’m also considering stringing the lights together for a seamless setup. If anyone has suggestions or tips for optimizing this setup, I’d love to hear them! The goal is to create a well-lit, organized space that’s easy to navigate. Here’s a quick snapshot of the current setup with one of the pull-out shelves in place:
Any recommendations for lighting choices or automation strategies would be greatly appreciated! I’m excited to transform this space and make it as functional as possible.
