I came across the option of using either RGB or RGBIC strips, and I’m a bit torn between the two. I know I need a 16.4-foot roll, but I’m not sure which type would be better for my setup.
I’ve heard that RGB offers vibrant colors and is great for creating different moods, while RGBIC adds an additional white channel for more versatility. I’m wondering if RGBIC would be overkill for my closet, or if it would actually enhance the experience. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this!
I’ve also been exploring different apps and integrations to control these lights seamlessly. For instance, I stumbled upon the Whisker app for Homey, which seems like a fantastic way to bring automation and insights into my smart home. It’s amazing how much you can do with the right tools!
Another thing I’m curious about is the possibility of setting up a timer or a schedule for these lights. I’d love to have them turn on automatically when I open the closet door or dim to a softer setting during the evening. I’m not sure if this is something that can be easily achieved with the RGB or RGBIC strips, or if I’d need additional hardware for that.
I’m also thinking about energy efficiency. Do RGB and RGBIC strips have similar power consumption, or is one more efficient than the other? I’d hate to end up with a setup that drains too much power, especially since I’m trying to keep things eco-friendly.
