I’ve been using Insteon for years, but honestly, it’s been a bit of a headache. Units failing left and right, and the Hub binding just never works as reliably as I’d like. I’m at the point where I’m ready to say goodbye to Insteon and start fresh with a more reliable system.
I’ve heard great things about OpenHAB, but I’m not quite sure where to begin. Right now, I’m using a mix of switchlincs, keypadlincs, inline dimmers, and outlet switches. I’d love to find something that integrates seamlessly with OpenHAB and offers the same level of control, if not better.
