Hello everyone, I’m diving into the world of smart lighting and it’s been quite an adventure! I recently purchased two Hamilton Beach flush mount lights and a Wink hub to get started. However, I quickly realized that adding smart switches would be essential for full control via my phone or the light switch itself. I opted for the GE Z-Wave Wireless Lighting Control On/Off Switch, but unfortunately, it requires a neutral wire, which my older home doesn’t have easily accessible. This has thrown a wrench in my plans, and I’m wondering if there are any alternative solutions or workarounds for this issue. I’ve heard about using smart plugs as a workaround, but I’m not sure how effective that would be for controlling lights. Has anyone else faced a similar challenge and found a successful solution? I’d love to hear your experiences and tips. Additionally, I’m curious about how others have integrated smart lighting into their homes, especially in older buildings with limited wiring options. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
