I’ve recently had the pleasure of testing out the Govee Lamp Post, and I must say, it’s been a fantastic experience!
The assembly process was straightforward, and the packaging was top-notch, ensuring everything arrived in perfect condition. The lamp is much larger than I anticipated, and the long power cable (around 30-40ft) provides a lot of flexibility in placement. I’m really looking forward to seeing how it illuminates my space once it’s dark out!
While setting up my smart lighting system, I stumbled upon an interesting challenge with my Vera Edge and the Aeon Labs Multisensor 6. Initially, I could only access temperature, humidity, and light data, but motion, UV, and vibration readings were missing. After some research and reaching out to the community, I found that others were also in the early adoption phase and working on solutions. It’s been a great learning experience and a reminder of how supportive this community is!
For those looking to integrate multiple smart devices, especially from different brands, I’d recommend starting with a solid foundation in your automation setup. I’ve found that using input_booleans and rest_commands can make things user-friendly, even for less tech-savvy family members. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to share some of the scripts and automations I’ve developed to streamline the process!
What are your go-to smart lighting solutions or automation hacks? I’d love to hear about your experiences and any tips you might have! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other create smarter, more efficient homes! ![]()
