I’ve recently taken the plunge into the world of smart home technology, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! One of the first devices I decided to invest in was the Wyze Cam 2. I’ve heard great things about its motion sensitivity and integration with smart home systems, so I was eager to see how it could enhance my daily life.
My main goal was to create a more secure and convenient environment, especially in areas like my garage. I wanted the lights to automatically turn on when motion is detected, providing both security and practicality. After setting up the Wyze Cam 2, I started exploring how to link it with my smart lights. I discovered that using Alexa Skills or Routines could potentially make this happen, but I wasn’t entirely sure how to configure it properly.
I decided to dive into the Alexa app and experiment with creating a Routine. I set it up so that when the Wyze Cam 2 detects motion in the garage, it triggers the smart lights to turn on. At first, it seemed a bit daunting, but after a few adjustments, it started working seamlessly! It’s amazing how integrating different smart devices can create such a cohesive system.
