Exploring Smart Lighting with Shelly Pro 1 and 2PM

As a homeowner passionate about integrating smart technology into daily life, I’ve recently embarked on a journey to enhance my lighting system using the Shelly Pro 1 and Shelly Pro 2PM. These devices have been a game-changer in how I manage and automate my home’s lighting, offering both versatility and reliability.

I’ve installed six Shelly Pro 1 units to control individual light fixtures throughout the house, each configured to respond to voice commands and schedule-based automation. The Shelly Pro 2PM units, on the other hand, have been instrumental in managing my smart blinds, providing seamless integration with my existing smart home ecosystem. The ability to control these devices via 24V power has been particularly advantageous, eliminating the need for additional neutral wires and simplifying the installation process.

One challenge I encountered was ensuring consistent communication between the devices and my central hub. After some research and tweaking, I discovered that placing the devices in areas with stronger Wi-Fi signals significantly improved their performance. This small adjustment made a world of difference, ensuring that my smart blinds and lights operate smoothly and reliably.

I’m curious to hear from others who have implemented similar setups. Have you found any unique ways to optimize the performance of Shelly devices? I’d love to learn more about your experiences and any tips you might have for getting the most out of these fantastic devices!
