Exploring Smart Lock Integration and Camera Connectivity

Hey everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home integration lately and wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all.

First off, I recently switched from Google Home to Alexa devices, specifically the Echo Pop and Echo Dot 5th Gen. While Alexa has been a breeze to use on its own, I’m trying to integrate these devices into my Homey Pro setup. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to show up as compatible, and I’m not sure if there’s a workaround. I also have a Home Assistant setup that I’m not currently using, so I’m curious if that could act as a bridge between Alexa and Homey. My ultimate goal is to control all my smart devices through Homey while keeping Alexa handy for voice commands. Any advice or experiences would be super helpful!

On another note, I’ve been experimenting with Wyze cameras and sprinklers to scare off wildlife. It’s been pretty effective, especially with the Wyze sprinkler controller. However, I’d love to see AI improvements so that it can recognize specific animals, like rabbits or crows, without wetting my dog or myself unnecessarily. If anyone has tips or suggestions, I’m all ears!

Lastly, I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to integrate my smart lock for guest access. I’m in the UK, and I can’t seem to find the Smart Lock Guest Access app in either the classic or new interface. I have a Yale lock connected, and I’d really like to manage and update codes remotely. If anyone has successfully set this up or knows a workaround, I’d be grateful for the insight!

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences. Let’s keep the smart home conversation going!
