Hello everyone, I recently purchased some smart plugs from Amazon, specifically the Govee US Import models, and I’m excited to start experimenting with them. However, I noticed that my Home Assistant SkyConnect hub won’t be arriving until late February, which has left me wondering if there’s a way to utilize these smart plugs in the meantime without a Zigbee hub.
From what I understand, these plugs support both SmartThings and Alexa, but I’m not entirely sure how to set them up without the hub. I’ve tried searching online for solutions, but most guides assume the presence of a hub or specific integration with platforms like Amazon Alexa or Samsung SmartThings. I’m curious if anyone in the community has successfully used smart plugs in a similar situation or has any tips for getting started without a hub.
Additionally, I’m interested in understanding how these plugs can integrate with Home Assistant once the hub arrives. I know that Home Assistant supports a variety of protocols and integrations, but I’m not entirely clear on the setup process for Zigbee devices.
