Exploring Smart Pool Automation with Raspberry Pi and Sonoff Switches

I’m diving into the world of smart pool automation, and I’m excited to share my journey with you! :ocean: I’ve been planning to integrate my pool system with smart devices, and I’m currently exploring the use of a Raspberry Pi 3 along with some dual Sonoff switches. The goal is to automate my pool pumps, lights, and maybe even the valves in the future.

I’ve been watching MK SmartHouse’s tutorials, and they’ve been super helpful. I’m wondering if anyone has experience with this setup and if it’s a reliable approach. Also, I’ve been thinking about switching to automatic valves that run on 24V. Would it be feasible to step down the voltage from 120V to control these valves?

Another thing I’m curious about is whether it’s possible to have the code run multiple relays simultaneously with a timer. For example, when the pump turns on, could it automatically adjust the valves to direct water to the pool or activate the pool cleaner? I’d love to hear if anyone has tackled similar projects or has advice on how to make this work seamlessly.

If you’ve got any tips or success stories, I’d be thrilled to hear them! Let’s pool our knowledge and make this project a splash! :ocean::sparkles:
