I recently installed a smart radiator valve in my living room, and it’s been a fascinating experience. The valve works seamlessly with my existing smart home setup, but I’ve encountered an interesting challenge that I’d love to discuss with the community.
My living room radiator is now equipped with a vented cover, which means the smart valve is slightly recessed. While this setup looks clean, I’ve noticed that the temperature inside the vented cover seems to be higher than the rest of the room. To address this, I’ve placed a Tado wireless thermostat in my hallway, about 2 meters away. My goal is to have the smart radiator valve use the hallway thermostat’s temperature reading instead of its own.
I’ve done some research and found that this might involve adjusting the valve’s settings or integrating it with my smart home hub. However, I’m not entirely sure how to proceed. Has anyone successfully integrated a smart radiator valve with a remote thermostat? Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
This project has been a great learning opportunity, and I’m excited to see how the community can help me refine my setup. Let’s explore the possibilities together!
